Privacy Policy
App: Filova – File Manager
Package: com.file.manager.cleaner.filova
Effective date: October 12, 2026
This policy explains how Filova handles information. It is published by Dansol Tech Pvt. Ltd. (“we”, “us”). Contact: Info@dansoltech.com.
Filova is a file manager. It runs on your phone. It does not ask you to create an account, and it does not upload your files to a Filova server.
Files on your phone
Filova reads and changes files only so you can browse, organize, open, copy, move, share, compress, and delete them, and so you can review storage. That includes internal storage and an SD card, if the phone has one.
To do this, Filova asks for access to files on the device. On Android 11 and later, that is all-files access. On older versions, it is storage permission. You can turn that access off in the system settings. Without it, Filova cannot show your files.
Your photos, videos, music, documents, downloads, archives, and other files stay on the phone. Filova does not sell them, does not use them for advertising, and does not send them to us.
Information kept on the device
Filova stores a few settings on the phone:
Sort order and list or grid view for folders you have opened
Whether hidden files are shown
Paths of files you mark as favorites
Whether you have finished the intro
A count of app opens and of a few actions, plus the date a rating prompt was last considered
Those values stay in app storage. They are used only to run Filova, including deciding when Google Play may show its own rating dialog. They are not sent to us.
To find duplicate files, Filova reads files on the phone and calculates a fingerprint for files within its size limit. That fingerprint stays on the phone and is used only to group copies for you to review.
The Apps list is built on the phone from apps that can be launched. It is used to show size and to open the system app screen. It is not uploaded.
Recycle bin
When you delete a file in Filova, it is moved to a recycle bin inside the app’s storage and kept for 30 days. You can restore it during that time. After 30 days, Filova removes it. Uninstalling Filova also removes whatever is still in the recycle bin. Files you have not deleted stay in their own folders.
Sharing
If you share a file, Filova hands that file to the app you pick. What that app does next is covered by its own terms and privacy policy.
Ratings
Filova may ask Google Play to show a rating dialog after you have used the app. If you leave a rating or review, Google receives it under Google’s own privacy policy. We do not run a separate review form and we do not receive that rating on a Filova server.
Android backup
If backup is turned on for the phone, Android may include Filova’s settings, and files the app stores, in the device backup for the Google account on that phone. Items still in the recycle bin can be part of that backup. That backup is controlled by your Android backup settings and by Google, not by a Filova server.
If ads or analytics are added later, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the Play listing will describe what those partners receive.
Children
Filova is a general file manager and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
Turn off file access in the system settings. Filova will no longer be able to browse your files.
Clear Filova’s storage in the system app settings to remove settings, favorites, and the recycle bin.
Uninstall Filova to remove the app and its storage, including files still in the recycle bin.
Because we do not keep a copy of your files on a server, there is no Filova account to export or delete. Email [contact email] if you have a privacy question.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If a change affects how information is collected or shared, the policy will be updated before that version of the app is released.
